Globalisation is how different trends, how they grow and how they affect other people in other countries. For example how "Nike" have factories in other countries.

erm... not sure if this is right but I'll have a go. Does it affect me by allowing me to buy goods from other parts of the world much easier and it has resulted in many places looking the same as each other. Globalaisation could also affect areas e.g. if an american company like microsoft had a massive warehouse over in the UK and they decided to shut it down it would cause mass unemployment in the area which would lead to a decline in communities.

Good ! One of the effects is to remove the individual identity that places have so that we all eat the same food, listen to the same music, drink the same drinks etc.
